Leaders Chapter Send Package Overseas
Nearly 30 business professionals of the Leaders Chapter of BNI (Business Network International) in LaGrange recently joined together to send a ‘care’ package to our troops in Afghanistan.
Leader’s president Brian Altmann, of DBS, met guest speaker Major Bryan Foley of LaGrange after Foley spoke at a Memorial Service in Pleasant Valley.
Foley’s speech inspired Altmann to send ‘something’ overseas to Foley’s former unit. Altmann initially asked his BNI chapter if they would be interested to participate in sending a package overseas. A room full of hands immediately went up! Each member was then responsible to purchase specific items.
A large box containing hard candy, gum, toothpaste, toothbrushes, crackers/cookies, crossword puzzles, beef jerky, nuts and much more was collected by the chapter members and recently mailed to SFC Scott Radunz, replacement unit for Major Bryan Foley of LaGrange, Camp Alamo in Afghanistan to send a little piece of ‘home’ to the troops to let them know we thank them for all they do as we continue to pray for their safe return home.
